The patch for Insightful Miner 3.0 Release 1 for Windows fixes several bugs. The patch converts Insightful Miner 3.0 to Insightful Miner 3.0.1.

Supported Platforms and System Requirements

Insightful Miner is supported on the following:

• Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 or later
  
• Windows 2000
  
• Windows XP Professional
  
• Windows Server 2003

The installation instructions apply to any Windows configuration of Insightful Miner.

The minimum recommended system configuration is a Pentium II/300MHz processor, at least 256MB of RAM, and an SVGA or better graphics card and monitor. You must have at least 100MB of free disk space for the typical installation (and, if not installing on drive C:\, an additional 2MB free disk space on drive C:\ to unpack the distribution).

You must have full Administrator privileges to install this Insightful Miner Patch. This is because the installation program must write to both the C:\WINNT\System folder and the registry, which is possible only if you have the correct privileges.

Installation Instructions

This patch to Insightful Miner requires that you already have installed Insightful Miner 3.0 Release 1.

To install this patch:

1. Close any open Insightful Miner sessions
2. If you have a server edition (IMT or IMP serial number prefix),
   stop the License Manager before installing the patch
3. Click below to download the installer to your Windows machine.
   Download Patch iminer300to301patch.exe [7.8 MB]
4. Double-click the file to automatically install the patch and follow
   the instructions

NOTE: Installing the 3.0.1 patch does not change the product name to Insightful Miner 3.0.1 in all locations. You can check the About box available through the Insightful Miner
Help menu to see that the 3.0.1 version is installed.

The S-PLUS Library for Insightful Miner

The S-PLUS Library for Insightful Miner is part of S-PLUS 6.1 Release 4 or higher. If this library was already installed and used under Insightful Miner 3.0 then it should still be available after the patch is installed.

Uninstalling Insightful Miner

The patch cannot be uninstalled separately from Insightful Miner 3.0.

To uninstall Insightful Miner from your system:

1. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon in the Control Panel.
2. Choose Insightful Miner from the list of installed programs and then
   click the Change/Remove button.
3. When the Insightful Miner Setup screen is displayed, select the Remove option.
