You can check the version you have by selecting About S-PLUS from the Help menu in S-PLUS. You can upgrade an older version of S-PLUS to the latest version by by selecting Update S-PLUS from the Help menu.

Getting Started

Before you start using S-PLUS, we suggest reading the Getting Started Guide. For new users, it includes a step-by-step tutorial on reading, visualizing and analyzing data in S-PLUS, and for long-time S-PLUS users it describes features new to S-PLUS 6. The Getting Started Guide was included with your copy of S-PLUS, and can be found in the Help > Online Manuals menu.
